RMIT UP!
Bringing illustrated characters to life through playful animation and personality-filled performance.
Created in collaboration with Hase Creative and illustrator Brolga, this project transformed a series of beautifully illustrated characters into animated personalities that came to life on the streets of Melbourne.
From energetic social content to large-scale digital displays within RMIT's new Franklin Street building, the challenge was to preserve the charm of the original illustrations while giving each character its own unique movement and personality.
The result was a playful collection of animations that welcomed, entertained and brought an extra sense of life to the RMIT UP brand.
RMIT Building Foyer Animations
As part of the project, I also created a series of animations for the digital displays in RMIT's Franklin Street foyer, where the characters greet visitors as they enter the building.
Seeing them brought to life at such a large scale was a particularly rewarding part of the project—although I still have a soft spot for the elephant.
