In The Ebb & Flow

A deeply personal story, brought to life through thoughtful, emotionally driven animation.

Every now and then, a project comes along that stays with you long after it's finished.

Created for Podcrushed, this film tells the story of Emir Ali and the profound loss of his mother at a young age. It was a privilege to help bring such an honest and deeply human story to the screen.

The experience was made even more special by collaborating with so many talented people. Hearing the story so beautifully narrated by actor Penn Badgley, alongside an evocative original score by David Ansari, gave the film an emotional depth that beautifully supported the animation.

Animation has a unique ability to communicate emotions that words alone sometimes cannot. Every creative decision, from the pacing and colour to the movement and composition, was made in service of the story, allowing the emotion to unfold with honesty and care.

This is a project I'm incredibly proud to have been part of, and one I'll carry with me for a long time.
