Demo Reel

Selected work spanning commercials, documentaries, social impact campaigns and character-driven storytelling.

This reel is more than a collection of my favourite work.

It's a snapshot of how I approach animation: story first, craft always, and movement with meaning.

Every project represents a different challenge, audience and objective, but they all share the same goal—to create work that connects with people and leaves a lasting impression.

Whether it's a commercial campaign, a documentary, a social impact piece or a character-driven story, I believe the best animation doesn't simply look beautiful. It communicates clearly, evokes emotion and serves a purpose.

I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed creating it.

Creating The Intro

A new showreel always feels like a fresh chapter, so I wanted the opening to be something uniquely mine.

It became an excuse to experiment, learn a few new techniques and simply enjoy the creative process without the constraints of a client brief.

The idea grew into a curious little robot exploring a colourful world filled with the things that have shaped me as an animator—films, music, coffee and a few personal easter eggs along the way.

It was playful, challenging and exactly the kind of project that reminds me why I love doing what I do.

Initial Sketches

The world is full of little nods to the things that inspire me:

  • 🎸 Guitars, because music is a huge part of my life.

  • 🚤 The Yellow Submarine, the film that first made me fall in love with animation.

  • 💻 After Effects, my trusted creative companion for many years.

  • 🦖 A Jurassic Park reference, because that's where the fascination really began.

  • ☕ And of course, coffee. Some things need no explanation.

Modelling & Rigging

One of the goals for this project was to push myself beyond what I already knew. Building and rigging the world from scratch gave me the chance to experiment, solve new problems and come away with new skills that I'll carry into future client work.

Animation

Thanks for making it this far!

If you're curious to see where it all started, my previous reel is still around. Some of the work has aged, some of it has held up surprisingly well, and all of it has played a part in getting me to where I am today.

Other projects

I acknowledge that I live, work and create on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation.

I pay my respects to their elders, past, present, and emerging, and extend that respect to all First Nations peoples.
